Heating: Eyelids

Why might a patient complain of a heating effect on their eyelids?

Permanent cosmetics, tattoos and eye makeup can contain ferromagnetic content. This may causing local heating effects during the MR examination. Makeup should be removed and a cold, wet washcloth can be used as a heat-sink during the examination.
