Patient Unconscious
If you have correctly answered the safety questions so far, you should have no problem with this one. The same contraindications apply. Make a visual check of the patient for superficial scars, and investigate the possibility of implanted or embedded objects with plain film x-rays. Can you rule out intra-ocular fragments, aneurysm clips or pacemakers without a plain film x-ray? Of course not. You can see how a careful and considered approach using your knowledge of MR safety can be applied step by step. Consider also heating effects and ear protection. Make sure a clinician responsible for the patient is present at all times.
